In this class, the student encounters the doctrines found in the book of Hebrews and considers them against the historical background of the Old Testament.

 

Bi 405/406 Church Epistles……………………2 Semester Hours


This class takes an in depth look into I &II Corinthians, Philippians, I&II Thessalonians, Ephesians, Colossians, Galatians, and Philemon. Emphasis is placed upon the doctrines, practices, problems and potentials of local churches. Essential considerations are taught with a view toward mission and church work in culturally relevant situations.  

 


Bi 407 Minor Prophets …………………………2 Semester Hours


The design of this course is to re-familiarize the student with the Minor Prophets. It is a review of the content, theme, and authorship of each book as given in Old Testament Survey. It gives greater consideration to the teachings of these men and the relevance of their ministries as they sought to fulfill God’s purpose and calling.

 

Bi 408 Poetical Books …………………………2 Semester Hours


The poetical books of Song of Solomon, Job, Psalms, Proverbs, and Ecclesiastes will be studied in this course. Focus will be on the importance of practical life teaching as well as praise as it relates to worship.

 

Bi 409 Major Prophets …………………………2 Semester Hours

 

This is a Study of the prophecies of Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, and Daniel, looking more in depth into the lives, ministries and teachings.

 

Bi 410 The Book of Revelation………………………….2 Semester Hours


The focus of this course is eschatological; to study the end times from a conservative, biblically purist and pre-millennial standpoint.

 

Pastoral Theology


Pa 403/404 Pastoral Counseling ………………...2 Semester Hours


The pastoral counseling course is designed as an introductory course into biblical counseling.  It is designed to prepared to help meet the pastor’s personal needs as well as that of his family and those to whom he ministers.
